About Dr Christine Langhoff
I am a doctor in clinical psychology and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society. I provide assessments and evidence based psychological therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups.
I can help with many difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem and relationship problems. I also provide perinatal specialist services for pregnant women, women with children under 2 and their partners as well as a psychosexual service and I have a special interest in physical health conditions (e.g. cancer, diabetes, COPD).
I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment in which to explore your current difficulties. My main therapeutic approaches are cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and systemic therapy. I also use acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy and mindfulness techniques in my work.
I have training, expertise and experience of working with clients from different cultural and religious backgrounds and work with clients irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or race.
I also offer therapy in German.

I have worked as a psychologist in the NHS since 2008 and am registered as a clinical psychologist with the HPC. I have worked in a wide range of services in the NHS, including Improving Access to Psychological Services, CMHT, sexual and reproductive health services, oncology and palliative care, paediatric psychology, Psychology and Health Service, a community service for people with learning disabilities and substance misuse services. I offer home visits as part of the perinatal service after an initial assessment at my practice.
